One of the things that came up in the October Business Done Different telecall was the stuck places we go to in trying to be moral in business. The funny thing is, everyone had a different definition of what moral actually is!
Morality is actually a construct of this reality that keeps us stuck in the rightness, the wrongness and the perfection of how things ‘should’ be from this reality’s point of view. Which hasn’t much at all to do with being honest with ourselves!
In Access Consciousness® we talk about the five elements of intimacy, and how if you have those five elements with yourself first, your relationships with other people will have a lot more ease! These elements are honour, trust, vulnerability, gratitude and allowance.
And what if you had those five elements of intimacy with you and your business? What if that was what would create you being honest with you and your business? What if that involved manipulation? Before you go to the wrongness, let me give you an example!
As the Worldwide Co-ordinator for Access Consciousness® there was someone I had to have a chat to. I asked them to do something and they took over this whole thing and they were offending people left, right and centre. And I went “No, this is not going to work like that. You either have to do it this way or not have it work. I am really grateful for your contribution and you are brilliant, yet you are offending people and creating more confusion”.
Being honest with the business and being honest with this person is going “I’m sorry, I am not letting someone do that.” And what if there is also manipulation in the honesty; in manipulating what can show up that is greater than what was showing up?
When you use the five elements of intimacy with yourself and others in business, something greater can always show up! Did you ever imagine manipulation could give you so much joy?
