Can I ask you a question?   Where are you judging yourself in business at the moment where if you didn’t judge it, you could actually create something different?

I asked this recently in a class, and the audience came up with comparison and competition.

If you are trying to function from comparison in business, where is that going to get you?  The only place you can end up is in judgment and conclusion.  And usually judgment and conclusion about you and the wrongness of you!

If you look at the flowers and the trees and the animals, none of them do comparison.  So what is the value of comparison rather than “What would I like to create?  What would I like my business to look like?  What else can I create now?  How can I use this to my advantage?

So what if you created your business and there was no competition?  Creating your business from the kingdom of we is including everything and judging nothing.  An alternative to competition is contribution.

What if everything you create in your business was actually a contribution to others?

Often people are willing to see the contribution they can be to others, but how much are you willing to receive contribution?  To have contribution work for you, you need to gift and receive!  Contribution is not a one-way street!

And competition is a limitation of all that you be.  What if there is a huge gift in the differences between you and everyone you are tempted to compete with?

If you are reading this blog, you actually have a capacity to function in business way beyond the limitations of this reality.  You have the capacity to function from contribution and kindness rather than comparison and competition. Are you willing to be what you could be?

How much energy are you using to do business with, through and as this reality? Would you be willing to choose something greater instead?   That’s the Joy of Business!!
