Travelling for business and pleasure opens up a new world of possibilities – with a little perception and preparation.
How often do you hear people complaining about their body clock when they travel overseas? I travel 8–10 months of the year and my number 1 tip is: look after yourself.
Have a look at how you can travel with ease. Perhaps you can use your frequent flyer points to upgrade or buy a business class ticket. By the time you arrive at your destination you’re way fresher.
I am Platinum in Qantas and Gold in Star Alliance so I get treated really well. I have more luggage allowance and access to lounges, which means I can relax during transit and have a glass of champagne while I catch up on emails.
Use a little manipulation to get better treatment when you travel. It is not wicked or bad. Manipulation is you being the amazing, phenomenal invitation that actually inspires others to choose differently.
Having a fun fitness routine is another priority when travelling through different time zones and countries. I’ve downloaded a whole lot of Zumba and yoga apps so I can do a 20-minute workout before starting my day. Sometimes I go for a run or walk and see the sights. Recently I went for a run in Rome and all the amazing historical sites that I’d studied at school were laid out before me.
