Did it ever occur to you that business could be fun? How this world teaches us to do business is to take it very seriously and work hard, and perhaps you can enjoy yourself later. Fortunately, that’s not the only way business can be created.

If you desire something different, you have to create from different possibilities. To have more joy in your business, consider these simple tips that will not only create more fun, but a lot more money too.

Leave out all the judgment

Whenever you judge anything, whether it’s positive or negative, you cut off what you could be experiencing that’s greater than the conclusion the judgment creates. You can’t see what else is available.

When you acknowledge possibilities outside of what you’ve judged as necessary or right, you have more freedom, invite new avenues for generating money, and create a whole lot more joy.

If you no longer functioned from judgment, how much more fun could you be having with your business?

Start asking questions

Questions are a way to become aware of possibilities beyond your conclusions so that you can know what actually works for you. Most people create their business from what they’ve decided they have to do or be which limits their success. When you ask a question, you acknowledge that more is available.

Examples of questions you can ask are:

Does this actually work for me and my business? When you ask this, you’re not looking for a right or wrong answer based on anything you’ve seen or been told, you just tune into what you know.

What other possibilities are available that I’ve not yet instituted? It’s not about having an immediate answer. When you ask, you invite ideas you haven’t considered.

Who or what can I add to my business today that will create more ease? What you add could be as simple as office supplies, or maybe you’ll be inspired for creating something entirely new. Asking the question is the gift that allows you to know.

What questions can you ask to begin having more fun and to generate more money than you ever imagined possible?

Enjoy being totally irrational

This probably goes against everything you’ve ever learned about business. Rationality and irrationality have been very misconstrued.

Being “rational” in business is relying on facts and figures and conclusions. That’s how most people try to achieve success. It’s based on judgment, always looking for how to get it right or avoid getting it wrong. There’s not much joy in that, and there’s no possibility for something greater.

To make a lot more money and have a lot more fun, you have to be willing to be totally irrational. Being irrational is giving up all the points of view about what you’re supposed to do or be. Rather than trying to emulate people’s success – a very rational thing to do – truly successful businesses are created from total irrationality. That doesn’t mean disregard useful information or ignore the resources you have available. Irrationality is knowing what works for you, even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.

Explaining and justifying your choices is rational. Being aware that the rest of the world might think you’re crazy for creating your business from question and choice – but choosing it anyway – is irrational. And a lot more enjoyable.

What’s the most irrational thing you can choose today to create greater possibilities for you business right away?

Remember you have the freedom to keep choosing

Every choice you make creates more awareness, even ones you made that didn’t give you the results you wanted. Just because something didn’t turn out doesn’t mean you’ve reached the end of possibilities.

Rather than stopping when something doesn’t work, go back to the beginning: Let go of judgment, ask a question, be irrational, and choose again.

What haven’t you chosen that if you would choose it would exponentially create more money and more joy?

To create joy in your business, you have to be willing to choose it. While most people regard joy and business as intrinsically separate, the truly successful businesses are the ones that include joy in everything they do.
